For those readers interested in the more technical questions about our site,
we have put together a little information to answer some of the more
common questions.
how many readers are there?Over the past year, we have had about 8,000 readers. By "readers" we mean the number of people who have visited the site one or more times. This is not the same as the number of "hits" which is simply the number of pages requested from the server. In our case, the number of "hits" is about 5,000 per day.who are our readers?Wish we knew! What we do know is that our readers live in more than 80 countries throughout the world - everything from Argentina to Zimbabwe.what about browsers and systems?Ah yes, the eternal "browser wars" question. Everybody wants to know... We wanted to know too, so here's the scoop as of July 1, 1998:
and the operating system (big surprise)
how big is the site?About 300 pages and 300 images. Maybe we need a site map? |
